IRCTC launches e-wallet scheme for booking tickets

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has launched e-wallet, a user-friendly scheme aimed at making purchase of e-tickets easier.

The e-wallet is a rolling deposit scheme wherein the customers will have an account with the IRCTC and deposit money to be used in future for booking e-tickets from its website (irctc.co.in), said a senior IRCTC official involved with the project.

Currently, one has to make the payment for the fare of the ticket, while booking e-ticket, through credit card, debit card or net banking. The process is a bit longer as the customer is transferred to the bank's server, from IRCTC's server, for making the payment and thereafter he is once again taken back into the IRCTC site which takes considerable time for booking a ticket, he said.

There have been instances when customer's login, in the IRCTC site, expires during this process and money is deducted from his bank account but he fails to get the ticket. The problem is being addressed with the launching of e-wallet scheme, he said.

Since the customer's money is already deposited with the IRCTC, he is not transferred to the bank's server for payment. This way precious time is saved and the chances of money deduction and not getting ticket are also nullified.

Only PAN card verified users can register this scheme and in case of ticket cancellation, the due refund will be credited to the e-wallet account next day.

JEE (Advanced) – 2013 - who are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2013 exam - Procedure for selecting the candidates

The following procedure will be used for selecting the 1,50,000 candidates who will be eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) – 2013 based on their performance in JEE (Main) -2013.

·         50.5% of the 1,50,000 (75,750 candidates) will be taken from the top rankers of the Common Merit List (CML) of JEE (Main). 27% (40,500), 15% (22,500) and 7.5% (11,250) candidates will be taken from the top rankers of the category rank lists of OBC-NCL, SC and ST, respectively. The candidates figuring in the category ranklists will be those who do not figure in the 75,750 candidates chosen from the CML.

·         3% of the candidates selected within each category will be those belonging to PwD (Persons with Disability) sub-category, who figure in the respective rank lists of JEE (Main).

·         Only the candidate’s aggregate marks in JEE (Main) will be considered and no tie-break mechanism will be implemented at this stage. This will make the list of candidates eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2013 slightly more than 1,50,000 due to bunching of candidates with the same aggregate marks at the bottom of each category.

CLAT Admit Card 2013 – Download
CLAT Admit Card 2013 – Common Law Admission Test CLAT 2013 has released in the official website http://www.clat.ac.in/. The Candidates those who had appeared for CLAT 2013 examination can download admit card.

Note :

Admit card is necessary for all the candidates those who are appearing for CLAT 2013 examination.

Without Admit card candidates are not allowed to appear for CLAT 2013 examination.

The Applicants for CLAT-2013 who fail to receive their Admit Cards sent by speed post can use this Online Admit Cards after getting it authenticated by the Centre Superintendent of the concerned Test Centre to which the candidate is allotted. This can be done one day before the Entrance Test, i.e. on 11 th May 2013 and also on the day of the Test from 11.00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

For obtaining the same,

(a) The applicant will be required to take printouts of the digital copy of his/her Admits Card in duplicate and present the same to the Centre Superintendent at the allotted Test Centre along with two passport size recent colour photographs.

(b) The applicant must carry a valid Photo Identity Card (including School Identity Card having Photograph) with the name and date of birth printed on it.

On production of the printouts of the Online Admit Card in duplicate along with required documents stated above, the Centre Superintendent will put his countersignature and authenticate this Online Admit Card.

This Admit Card can then be used for appearing in the CLAT on 12th May 2013.

Shortcut tricks for solving Mathematics calculations

I often use these tricks  to prove myself good in math’s although I am a very bad in mathematics. You can challenge your friends, that you are better than a normal calculator. How? just follow the process 

Tell your friend to calculate 111111111 x 111111111 with the help of his calculator. ;) 

Your friend will find the result too large to be calculated by a calculator. Now you can surprise him by giving the answer. The answer will be 12345678987654321 

How can you calculate: When you multiply by the same number of 1's in both side then just count the 1's in 1 side. For example, in the multiplication 111111111x111111111 we have 9, 1's in each side. So type or write from 1 to 9 (123456789) . After typing 9 then start writing from the reverse (87654321). So in aggregate the answer will be 12345678987654321 . 

IN THE SAME WAY ,

11 x 11 = 121

111 x 111 = 12321

1111 x 1111= 1234321

11111 x 11111 = 123454321 

111111 x 111111= 12345654321 

1111111 x 1111111= 1234567654321 

11111111 x 11111111= 123456787654321 

111111111 x 111111111= 12345678987654321

Now the second tricks called "without 8" 

Take a number of digits from 1 to 9 except the digit 8. So the number is 12345679 

Now if you multiply the number by 9 the answer will be 111111111 .    

Again if you multiply the number by 9x2 (18) the answer will be 222222222

again, if you multiply the number by 9x3 (27) the answer will be 333333333 

 The whole example :

12345679 x 9 = 111111111

12345679 x 18 = 222222222

12345679 x 27 = 333333333

12345679 x 36 = 444444444

12345679 x 45 = 555555555

12345679 x 54 = 666666666

12345679 x 63 = 777777777

12345679 x 72 = 888888888

12345679 x 81 = 999999999
